“Speaking the Language for Positive Character”
“The mind is not a vessel to be filled, but a fire to be ignited.” – Plutrach
Language has a great influence to empower and discourage. Self-esteem is built when shaming or blaming language is replaced by naming the virtues, our innate qualities of character. Positive language helps us remember what kind of people we want to be, and empowers children to act on the best within them. It is the main ingredient in creating a positive culture of character.
This interactive workshop will challenge us to reflect and discuss on our past, our influences and beliefs. It will build a culture of trust and sharing among peers to discuss the consequences of our thoughts and beliefs on the lives of our students. Using proven strategies, we will walk away from this workshop with a completely new language and realise the value we see in every child’s being. |
