ANPS STS are school tours with a purpose. Each school has a certain focus, a project or vision that they take pride in. STS tours are more than just a facility tour – it allows participants to dive deep into a host school’s vision and how this helps the learning experience of their students.
From our friends at Tzu Chi School:
Implementing a humanistic education at Tzu Chi School
Students need more than the academic to become lifelong learners who respect themselves, others and the world around them. Tzu Chi School is intent on our students developing international mindedness, an understanding of their impact and influence in their communities and importantly, achieve the strong character values of the Tzu Chi vision and mission. We seek to ensure our students develop sincerity, truthfulness, faith, and purity through the Tzu Chi educational philosophy, and develop skills that will benefit them both now and later in life. Humanistic education at Tzu Chi is based on three principles: gratitude, respect and love.
Students need to have good manners, good etiquette, and be mindful of themselves and those around them through the implementation of gratitude, respect and love within their daily lives. The Tzu Chi community all work together to bring the aphorism “Over time, we can build great character, achieve great success, and cultivate great virtue” to our students. There are 3 Tzu Chi Schools: Secondary, Primary and Childhood. For the visit on November 12, you will hear from the schools on how a humanistic education is implemented.
