Pipit Indrawati is Canva Education Community Manager, helping teachers across Indonesia empower their students to revolutionize education with Canva. She has been working in the Education industry since 2010. Started by volunteering for Indonesia Mengajar (Teach for Indonesia) as a primary school teacher on a remote island for a year. Indonesia Mengajar is a national voluntary program founded by Anies Baswedan (ex Ministry of Education Indonesia) that promotes education development in Indonesia’s remote and under-developed areas. After getting a grassroots understanding of the education system in Indonesia, in 2012, she went to work as an Indonesian Language Assistant for the Department of Education, Western Australia. From these two contrasting experiences, she amplified her passion for being of service to others in the education industry. In addition to working at Canva, she also volunteers as a mentor for the ASEAN C.A.R.E.s initiative by The Global Citizen Education Group in Singapore; provided a three-month mentorship to youths across ASEAN, specializing in the education industry. Pipit lives in Jakarta. In her free time, you can find her relaxing with a cup of coffee and a good book.
