One of the biggest challenges of online learning is to connect with children and keep their motivation and creativity stimulated in the midst of all the distractions around them.
Join us in this session to learn a different skillset to make your online classroom experience exciting for your students.
Teaching is an art form- whether you are teaching online or in the class, great teachers hold a student’s attention. make them laugh, help them understand their lessons, inspire them and most of all interact and connect with them.
Online, these skills take more practice and experience. So let’s dive into the tips and tricks and pull out some creative ideas to make your next online class more fun and interactive.
The session includes practical ideas such as participation strategies, mindfulness exercises, laughing yoga and other fun ideas that you can use with your students in the next class. So come and capture the creativity !

As we are entering the second year of the pandemic, many students are either demotivated or experiencing learning loss with learning and teaching still occurring mostly online.
Here we explore the various methods and approaches that have proven to work in achieving learning outcomes and engaging for students that we have implemented in our school. Approaches may differ from time to time but the focus stays the same ; it is to ensure the learning outcome of students are met, with keeping in mind of instilling their character building during this challenging time.

Saat kita memasuki tahun kedua pandemi, banyak siswa yang kehilangan motivasi atau mengalami learning loss dimana pembelajaran dan pengajaran sebagian besar masih dilakukan secara online.
Di sini kami ingin mengeksplorasi berbagai metode dan pendekatan yang telah terbukti berhasil dalam mencapai target belajar yang telah kami terapkan di sekolah kami selama online learning. Siswa merasakan keterlibatan dalam pembelajaran dan lebih bersemangat dengan tantangan yang diberikan.
Pendekatan mungkin berbeda dari waktu ke waktu tetapi fokusnya tetap sama; hal ini untuk memastikan hasil belajar siswa terpenuhi, dengan mengingat penanaman karakter mereka selama masa pandemi yang penuh tantangan ini.

Shareen is an experienced child-centered practitioner, teacher trainer, leader and cofounder of Kiddie Planet, A Montessori Preschool in Jakarta. She is also is parenting coach and a workshop presenter.

She combines her vast experience of over 18 years as a leader and has nurtured more leaders to lead branches of Kiddie Planet. She has a passion for the Montessori approach to bring hands-on early childhood education into the education systems. She holds a Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood Studies, a Masters of Science in Education,an International Montessori Teaching Diploma and is a qualified Montessori teacher-trainers from Montessori Centre International, London. She is also a qualified parenting coach. Shareen has conducted several teacher and parenting workshops in Indonesia and Internationally.

Together with her passion for world-class learning, and teaching, she is a firm believer in giving the best for our next generation of world class citizens.

Her motto is that learning is a life-long process and as educators we should always be learning, sharing and collaborating to build a professional learning community, which uses education and leadership to change the world.

Being in the education field for more than 12 years, her responsibilities started from being the English coordinator ensuring the School’s English programs, to pursuing international relations for the school and guiding many major school events. Apart from that, she has extensive knowledge and experience in coaching and training teachers through her role as Head of Teachers and Staff Development, as well as designing inhouse trainings. She is also active in managing and carrying out school community services including conducting workshops and bringing students to teach in other schools.
She is also active as a professional Counsellor, from designing programs to coaching Secondary students. Her passion has always been in education, viewing it as a journey of continuous learning and finding new passions along the way, which she also instills in the teachers and students alike. The enthusiasm and drive to always be better, always learn something new and always reach out to help in any way we can is her motto in her pursue in the education field.
